Devine, Texas: A Vision for the Future of the Downtown District

This vision plan examines a number of options designed to improve Devine’s Downtown District by increasing visitor and tourism potential. These options include branding, wayfinding, street, parking and building facade improvements to the historic downtown, improving the connection to Interstate 35 along State Highway 173, a proposed rail station, the adaptive reuse of the mill and elevator building, and developing a community center. This report also examines the potential for commercial development along Interstate Highway 35.
