Roadside Treasures

On September 15, 2012 the UTSA Center for Cultural Sustainability and the San Antonio Conservation Society co-hosted the “Roadside Treasures: Buildings of the Automotive Era” seminar.

The keynote speaker of the seminar, Chester Liebs, is an adjunct professor with the University of New Mexico and author of Main Street to Miracle Mile: American Roadside Architecture. He discussed his knowledge of U.S. highway corridors and the (commercial) architecture trends that cropped up along those roadways.
