Lewis Chatham Apartments

The $7 million renovation of Lewis Chatham Apartments, a 119-unit elderly and disabled community, was made possible with funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Students from the College of Architecture at UTSA designed walking spaces for Chatham residents that include community gardens, as well as a xeric garden, a type of garen that uses native plants with low-water requirements. A grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on May 9, 2012 at 6405 South Flores.
