Rahman Azari, Ph.D.

Rahman Azari, PhD, is a building scientist and an assistant professor in the UTSA Department of Architecture where he works in the field of sustainable building design, environmental modeling, and environmental life-cycle assessment. Dr. Azari’s research has been published in several journals including Energy and Buildings, Building and Environment, and Journal of Management in Engineering. Dr. Azari has also participated in research projects funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), Construction Industry Institute (CII), General Services Administration (GSA), and Skanska USA Building. At UTSA, Professor Azari teaches Environmental Systems, Environmental Life-cycle Assessment of Buildings, and design studios with focus on sustainable design.
Professor Azari holds a PhD in Built Environment from the University of Washington in Seattle.
