Architecture - Interior Design
John Webb, AIA has been a registered architect in Texas since 1994. He began his architectural studies at the University of New Mexico and ultimately received a Bachelor of Art degree in Visual Art from the University of Bridgeport. He earned a Masters degree in architecture from U.C.L.A. in 1991. He also earned a Masters of Fine Art- Sculpture degree from U.T.S.A. in 2011.
Webb has worked in architectural firms in Connecticut, Los Angeles and San Antonio. Since 1997 he has operated an independent architectural practice in San Antonio and has executed all sizes of residential, commercial and institutional projects.
He has been teaching architecture for 18 years at the college level and for the past 14 years has been sharing his passion for design and buildings with his students at the University of Texas at San Antonio College of Architecture where he has taught Drawing, Architectural Design and Furniture Design and Construction to undergraduate and graduate architecture and interior design students. He has periodically also taught 3-D design and Sculpture at the U.T.S.A. College of Art.
Webb’s interests include the design and fabrication of furniture and objects. His work has appeared in catalogs and various art publications and has been included in juried exhibitions. He is currently showing his works of sculpture and furniture in solo exhibitions around the region.
