The new Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Laboratory in Room 4.430 in the Monterey Building contains 14 computer stations, a plotter, and scanner. The GIS Lab supports teaching and research for graduate students in Urban and Regional Planning. A wide variety of software is loaded on each work station and includes AutoCAD, Adobe CS 5, MSoffice 2010, SPSS, ArcView Suite 10 and SketchUp Pro.
Adjacent to the GIS Lab is the Urban and Regional Planning Studio (Room 4.420) for use by students enrolled in the graduate Planning Program. The studio is a space to work either individually or on team projects when graduate seminars are not in session.
